EXCERPT //

Solar Myth is now hosting Ars Nova Workshop (ANW), Philadelphia’s preeminent provider of out-there music for more than 20 years. Since 2000, ANW has produced hundreds of events throughout the city in partnership with organizations including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Barnes Foundation, and Settlement Music School in nontraditional venues such as the Painted Bride Art Center, the American Swedish Historical Museum, and Bartram’s Garden. Solar Myth is owned and operated by ANW Executive and Artistic Director Mark Christman and Evan Clancy of Fountain Porter (another beloved South Philly institution); Ars Nova the organization is programming some of the events in the space. Solar Myth opens early for coffee and pastries. At noon, the bar begins to serve an impressive selection of wine by the glass and bottle, as well as beer (draft, bottles, cans), tomato pie, and spinach pie.
